The Juli Solar Bug Zapper Pathway Light does two jobs on a warm Australian evening: it lights the path, and it deals with the mosquitoes that arrive with the dusk. The body is 304 stainless steel, a rust-resistant grade made for life outdoors, with a protective cage around the light core. A soft white LED lights your garden while an ultraviolet blue light draws mosquitoes and other flying insects in, controlling them physically rather than with sprays, coils or chemicals. On top, a 1.5W solar panel charges a 2200mAh battery through the day, and USB charging lets you top it up during a run of cloudy weather. One light covers roughly 50 to 100m² (538 to 1,076 sq ft), so a pair suits a courtyard and a set of six or more can line a long garden path. Care Instructions
Brush trapped insects out of the cage every week or two with a dry, soft brush, working during the day while the light is off, and never poke metal tools or a hose into the cage. Wipe the 304 stainless steel body with a soft cloth and warm, mildly soapy water, following the grain on the silver finish, then dry it to avoid water spots. Keep bleach, chlorine pool chemicals, steel wool and chloride-based cleaners away from the steel, as they cause pitting and tea staining; near the coast or a pool, rinse off salt and chlorine residue with fresh water every few weeks. Clean the black finish the same gentle way and avoid solvents that can dull it. Keep the solar panel free of dust, pollen and bird droppings so it charges fully, and site the light where it gets several hours of direct sun. Keep the USB charging port dry and only charge it by USB under cover. Do not pressure wash or submerge the light.
