Care Instructions
Wipe the bamboo frame with a soft, dry or barely damp cloth and dry it straight away — bamboo is a natural timber, so standing water and prolonged damp will swell the fibres, lift the finish and eventually cause splitting. Clean the PU leather seat separately with a damp cloth and a drop of mild soap, then buff it dry; never use solvents, alcohol, bleach or abrasive cleaners on the seat, as these strip the coating and cause it to crack and peel. Keep the bench indoors and out of direct sunlight, which fades both the bamboo and the seat over time, and away from heaters and damp rooms such as bathrooms and laundries. Wipe up wet shoes and spills promptly rather than letting them sit on the tiers, place felt pads under the feet on timber or tiled floors, and check the joints every few months, re-tightening any fixings that have loosened with use.
