The Ellie Solar Garden Lights are slim firefly-style stake lights designed to scatter small points of warm light through planting rather than flood it. Each 73 cm stem carries a tiny 1.6 cm glowing ball at the top, so once they are pushed into a garden bed the light appears to float among foliage, grasses and shrubs - an effect that works particularly well through lomandra, dianella, kangaroo paw and other Australian natives. Installation is nothing more than pushing the ground insert into soft soil or mulch: there is no wiring, no transformer and no power point required. A built-in solar panel charges in six to eight hours of daylight and the LED runs for eight to twelve hours after dark, delivering 120 lumens across the set. Rated IP65, the ABS body and plastic shade handle rain, sprinklers and full sun without fading or cracking. Choose sets of six, eight or ten to suit the length of the bed or path you are lighting.

Care Instructions
Wipe the slim ABS stems and the small light heads with a soft, damp cloth to clear dust, mud splash and sprinkler residue, then dry them off; avoid abrasive pads and solvent cleaners, which will scratch and dull the plastic. Keep the solar panel clean and unshaded - fast-growing groundcover and grasses are the usual reason these lights dim, so trim planting back around each stake as the season progresses. Take care when pushing the stakes in: soak hard or clay soil first rather than forcing the stem, which can crack the ground insert. Lift the lights before mowing or whipper-snipping nearby. Charge fully and store indoors if putting them away over winter.
