The Prenta Rolling Grilling Baskets are cylindrical stainless steel mesh cages that sit across the grill bars and roll, so everything inside cooks evenly on every side without turning pieces one by one. Fill them with chicken wings, prawns, chopped vegetables, mushrooms or chips, close the end, and give the basket a quarter turn every few minutes with the hook or fork. The fine mesh lets heat, smoke and char in while keeping small pieces from slipping through the grates, and fat drips straight away instead of pooling. Each basket is made from food-grade 304 stainless steel with reinforced rims at both ends, and they are sold in pairs so you can run meat in one and vegetables in the other. Choose the small set, with two 20 x 9cm (7.9 x 3.5in) baskets that suit sides and smaller BBQs, or the large set, with two 30 x 9cm (11.8 x 3.5in) baskets that hold enough wings for a crowd. Both sets come with two 10cm (3.9in) hooks and two 20cm (7.9in) forks for rolling and lifting the baskets safely. Care Instructions
Let the baskets cool completely before cleaning, then soak them briefly in warm soapy water to loosen any stuck-on marinade and scrub the mesh with a nylon brush. They are dishwasher safe, but hand washing and drying straight away keeps the 304 stainless steel brightest for longest. Avoid bleach, chlorine cleaners and steel wool, which can pit the steel and snag the fine mesh. A light brush of cooking oil on the mesh before each use makes food release more easily and cleaning quicker. Heat tint, a golden or blue tone on the steel, is normal after use over high heat and does not affect performance. Always use the supplied hooks and forks or BBQ gloves to turn and lift the baskets, as the metal gets very hot. Dry the baskets thoroughly before storing them in a dry cupboard, especially if you live near the coast.
