The Vela Solar Security Light floods driveways, garages, side gates, back doors, sheds and yards with bright light the instant it detects movement, helping deter intruders and making it safer to get home after dark. A triple light array packs 172 bright white LEDs alongside 9 red and 9 blue LEDs for a total of 190, and four selectable modes let you choose motion-only lighting, a dim glow that brightens on motion, constant dim light, or motion lighting with a red and blue alert flash. The PIR sensor covers a wide 120 degree angle and detects movement from 3 to 5 metres away. A 5V 3W solar panel charges the 1800mAh lithium battery in 6 to 8 hours of sun for more than 6 hours of light at night, with no electrician, no cabling and no power bills. The ABS body and polycarbonate diffuser are sealed to IP65, so it can be mounted on exposed walls, fences and sheds in all weather.

Care Instructions
Wipe the solar panel with a soft, damp cloth every few weeks, since dust, pollen and bird droppings on the panel are the main cause of short run times. Clean the black ABS body and polycarbonate diffuser with mild soapy water and a soft cloth, then dry; avoid solvents and abrasive pads, which can scratch the diffuser and cloud the LEDs. Keep the PIR sensor window clean and free of cobwebs and overgrown plants so it detects movement reliably. Mount the light where the panel receives several hours of direct sun, ideally facing north. Check the mounting screws once or twice a year. Do not pressure wash the light. If it has been in a shady spot for a while, give it a full sunny day to recharge.
