The Smyth Ceramic Wall Sconce cradles a glossy, hand-glazed ceramic cup in a slim frame of forged black metal that wraps beneath it and finishes in a small ring. The cup has a gently flared, scalloped rim, and because it faces upward it washes warm light up the wall in a soft fan, with no glare at eye level. The rich glaze catches the light around the rim, so the fitting looks as good off as on. Choose from four glaze colours: deep Burgundy, Brown/Green, soft Beige or glossy White, to add a warm retro accent or blend into a pale scheme. It measures 25cm (9.8in) wide, 27cm (10.6in) tall and projects 13cm (5.1in) from the wall. It takes a G9 LED bulb, runs on AC 90-260V and lights roughly 5-10m². It carries CE and CCC certification. The generous upward glow makes it a favourite in hospitality: hotel rooms and corridors, restaurants and wine bars. Care Instructions
Switch the sconce off at the wall and let the ceramic cool before cleaning. Because the cup faces upward, dust and insects settle inside it: lift them out with a soft, dry brush or a cloth every few weeks. Wipe the glazed ceramic with a soft cloth lightly dampened with water and dry it; avoid abrasive pads and scouring powders, which scratch the gloss glaze. Dust the forged metal cradle with a dry cloth and avoid solvents that can mark the black finish. Ceramic can crack if knocked, so support the cup when changing the G9 bulb. Suitable for dry indoor areas only, not for use inside showers or wet zones.
