The Walsh Rechargeable Pool Lights use 13 RGBW LEDs rather than plain RGB, and the white diode is what separates them from cheaper underwater lights: colours stay clean instead of turning muddy, and a true white setting is available when you just want the pool lit rather than coloured. Sixteen colours, five brightness levels and six dynamic modes are driven from an RF remote with genuine range - 61 m (200 ft) through air and 5 m (16.4 ft) through water - so it reaches every light in a large pool from anywhere on the deck, and one remote drives more than ten units at once. A 2000mAh battery gives 30 to 50 hours per charge and refills in 3 to 5 hours through a magnetic USB connector, which means no fiddly rubber port plug to seat correctly and one less way for water to get in. Each unit measures 9 x 8.6 x 3.8 cm (3.5 x 3.4 x 1.5 in), is rated IP68 for full submersion, and works equally well in an inground or above-ground pool, a spa, a pond or a fish tank.

Care Instructions
Rinse each light in clean fresh water after it comes out of the pool and dry it fully before charging. Pay particular attention to the magnetic charging contacts: wipe them dry and check for salt or scale build-up, because corroded contacts are what stop these charging reliably long before the battery itself wears out. Clean the lens with a soft cloth only - abrasive pads and solvent cleaners will scratch and haze the clear face, dulling the RGBW output. Never open the housing; it is sealed at manufacture and there is nothing user-serviceable inside, so breaking the seal ends the IP68 rating. Inspect the seam each season and retire any light showing a crack, a flattened seal or condensation behind the lens rather than putting it back in the water. Keep the remote indoors and dry, as it is not waterproof. For storage, charge each light to roughly half, keep them somewhere cool and dry out of direct sun, and top them up every few months so the lithium cell is not left flat.
