The Suka Outdoor Pendant Light brings the relaxed texture of a woven basket to the verandah. A matte black iron frame holds a shade of woven synthetic rattan in black, and when the light is on, the warm 3000K glow filters through the weave in fine stripes, throwing a soft pattern across the ceiling and the table below. It hangs from a ceiling canopy on a black chain that adjusts up to 120cm (47.2in), so you can drop it low over an outdoor dining table or keep it higher above a walkway. Three shapes are available, all 40cm (15.7in) wide: a squat 25cm (9.8in) high flat globe, a full 40cm (15.7in) round globe and a taller 50cm (19.7in) egg. Each comes as a single light or in packs of 2, 4, 6 or 8 for lining up along a long table or a deep alfresco. It takes a replaceable E27 LED bulb (4W, 385 lumens) and is hardwired by a licensed electrician. Suka is made for covered outdoor areas only: hang it under a solid roof on a verandah, alfresco, covered patio or roofed pergola, away from direct rain and water. It suits coastal, Hamptons, resort and rustic Australian homes, and looks just as good inside over a dining table.

Care Instructions
Switch the power off at the wall and let the bulb cool before cleaning. The shade is woven synthetic rattan: dust it with a soft brush, or a vacuum brush head on low, working along the weave, and lift marks with a cloth dampened in warm water and a drop of mild soap, then let it dry completely before switching back on. Never use a pressure washer, bleach or solvent cleaners, which fade the black colour and make the strands brittle. Wipe the black iron frame, canopy and chain with a soft damp cloth and dry them straight away; touch up any chip in the finish promptly, because bare iron will rust in damp or salty coastal air. Suka is rated for covered outdoor areas only, so keep it under a solid roof and out of reach of rain, sprinklers, pool splash and the garden hose. Spiders and insects like woven shades, so give it a quick brush-out every few weeks over summer. Each season, check the chain links, ceiling canopy and fixings are secure, and do not let the chain twist, as that strains the cable running through it.
