Care Instructions
Turn the strand off and remove the batteries before cleaning. Wipe the cable and the moulded pumpkin and witch hat charms with a soft, barely damp cloth and dry them straight away; work around the printed faces gently, as scrubbing will lift the detail. Never submerge the strand, hose it or run it under a tap, and keep solvents, methylated spirits and spray cleaners away from the charms - they will dull and craze the plastic. Site the battery box under cover, behind a post or beneath an eave, and off wet ground. Take the batteries out whenever the lights are packed away for more than a few weeks so a leaking cell cannot corrode the contacts. Coil the strand loosely rather than winding it tight, and store it in a dry box away from heat and direct sun so the cable stays supple and the charms keep their colour.
