The Pawa IP65 Rectangular Outdoor Wall Light does the job most exterior lights get wrong: it throws a genuinely warm, soft glow instead of the cold blue-white glare that makes a beautiful front entry look like a car park. The face is a translucent alabaster-look panel set in a slim rectangular frame, so the light diffuses through the surface rather than firing out of a bare lens — you get a calm wash up and down the wall, enough to read a doorstep by without dazzling anyone walking up to it. The form is deliberately plain. A clean vertical bar with no scrollwork, no lantern styling and no visible fixings, which is why it sits just as comfortably on white shiplap cladding as it does on rendered concrete, dark timber battens or limewashed masonry. Because it is rated IP65 it is sealed against dust and against water jetted from any direction, so it handles Australian coastal conditions — driving rain, salt air, summer heat and the temperature swing between a 38-degree afternoon and a cold night — without water tracking into the housing. Choose 40cm (15.7in) for a standard doorway or 60cm (23.6in) where the wall is taller and needs a longer vertical line, and choose between genuine alabaster for its natural stone veining or artificial alabaster for a more even, budget-friendly finish. Mounted in pairs either side of a door, or repeated along a courtyard wall, it reads as architectural lighting rather than a fitting bolted on afterwards.

Care Instructions
Switch the light off at the wall and let it cool before cleaning. Wipe the alabaster face and resin body with a soft, damp cloth and a drop of mild detergent, then dry it off — never use solvents, methylated spirits, bleach or abrasive pads, as these dull the resin and etch the stone surface. If you live near the coast, rinse the fitting with fresh water every few months to clear salt build-up, which is the main cause of corrosion and staining on exterior fittings; the same applies after storms or when garden fertiliser has been used nearby. Do not pressure-wash the light: the IP65 seal is rated for rain and hose spray, not a high-pressure lance forced into the seams. Check the wall seal and the fixings once a year and re-seal if you can see any gap where water could track behind the backplate. The LED is integrated and is not user-replaceable — if it fails, the fitting is replaced rather than re-lamped, and any electrical work should be carried out by a licensed electrician.
