The Northy Minimalist Wall Light is built around a material most exterior lighting avoids: raw cement. That gives it a matte, slightly textured surface with real weight to it, so the fitting reads as part of the architecture rather than as hardware bolted on afterwards - it sits particularly well against render, blockwork, brick and timber cladding. A slim acrylic diffuser runs the length of the body and pushes a soft wash up and down the wall. The proportions are deliberately narrow at just 8 cm wide by 25 cm high, so it suits tight spots a bulkier sconce would crowd: beside a front door, down a side passage, either side of a garden gate, or in a run along a courtyard wall. Rated IP54, it is built for sheltered and semi-exposed outdoor positions as well as indoors, which makes it an easy way to carry one lighting language from a hallway straight through to an alfresco wall. Choose raw white for lighter coastal and Scandinavian palettes, or grey for a moodier concrete look.

Care Instructions
Cement is porous, so treat this fitting differently to a metal one. Dust it with a soft dry brush or cloth rather than washing it, and if you do need to lift a mark use only a barely damp cloth and let it dry fully - soaking cement draws moisture into the body and can leave a darker patch or bloom a white salt haze on the surface. Never use abrasive pads, bleach, acidic bathroom sprays or solvent cleaners, all of which will etch and discolour raw cement permanently. Small variations in tone and tiny surface pores are normal in a cast cement product, not faults. Wipe the acrylic diffuser gently with a soft damp cloth only, as acrylic scratches easily. Because it is rated IP54 rather than fully sealed, mount it in a sheltered or semi-exposed spot away from direct driving rain and sprinklers, and check the fixings each season.
