The Miki Round Alabaster Wall Light is a flat disc of real stone that sits almost flush against the wall and lights up from behind. Because the alabaster is genuine and solid rather than moulded glass, the light does not just pass through it — it soaks into the stone and reveals the cloudy, layered veining running through the slab, so the disc reads as a warm glowing object during the evening and as a piece of pale sculpture during the day. Every disc is cut from a different section of stone, which means the markings on yours will not match the photograph. That variation is what you are paying for. Behind the alabaster sits a slim aluminium frame that does the structural work and stays completely hidden from the front, so there is no visible bracket, no exposed screw and no shadow line breaking up the circle. The integrated LED runs at 3000K warm white with a rated life of around 50,000 hours, so there is no bulb to source and no lamp to change. What makes Miki genuinely flexible is the sizing. A single 16cm (6.3in) disc is an accent beside a bed; a single 30cm (11.8in) disc is a feature wall on its own. The two- and three-disc sets take it further — they arrive as a matched group of different diameters designed to be mounted overlapping and offset, which turns a blank stairwell, hallway or lounge wall into a composition rather than just a lit surface. It works equally well in a calm Japandi bedroom against pale plaster and in a moody room against dark walnut battens, where the stone reads especially bright.

Care Instructions
Alabaster is a soft, porous natural stone, so treat the disc more like marble than glass. Switch the light off at the wall and let it cool, then dust the face with a dry, soft cloth or a soft brush, wiping across the disc rather than scrubbing at one spot. For a mark, use a barely damp cloth with plain water and dry the stone straight away — never use vinegar, lemon, bleach, methylated spirits, glass cleaner or any abrasive pad, because acidic and alcohol-based cleaners etch alabaster permanently and leave a dull patch that cannot be buffed out. Do not let water sit on or run behind the disc, and keep the fitting out of bathrooms, laundries and any steamy or damp room, as absorbed moisture clouds the stone over time. The LED is integrated and sealed behind the alabaster, so there is no bulb to change and the fitting should never be opened at home — if it fails, replace the unit and have a licensed electrician do the work. On the cluster sets, dust each disc separately and take care not to knock the edges, as chipped stone cannot be repaired invisibly. Check the wall fixings once a year, since the larger discs carry real weight.
