The Mata Shoe Rack is a low, compact entryway piece that keeps everyday shoes off the floor without taking over the hallway. A black powder-coated steel frame carries two open slatted shelves beneath a marble-look top in black with soft white veining, so it looks like a considered piece of furniture rather than a utility rack. The slats let dust and grit fall through and let damp shoes air out, while the top gives you a landing spot for keys, a tray or a small plant by the front door. It measures 45cm wide, 30cm deep and 41.5cm high (17.7 x 11.8 x 16.3in), about knee height on most adults, which lets it tuck under a window, beside a door or into the end of a narrow hallway. Each shelf holds a couple of pairs of everyday shoes side by side, with 15cm (5.9in) of clearance on the upper shelf and 18cm (7.1in) on the lower one for taller sneakers and ankle boots. The marble-look surface is engineered wood, so it wipes clean easily. It suits modern, Scandinavian and coastal entries, laundries and mudrooms, and needs only minimal assembly at home.

Care Instructions
The Mata top is engineered wood with a marble-look surface, so wipe it with a soft cloth that is only lightly damp and dry it straight away; water left standing on the top or along its edges can make the board swell. Do not leave wet umbrellas, dripping boots or hot items on the surface, and skip abrasive pads, bleach and harsh spray cleaners, which can dull or lift the printed finish. The frame and slatted shelves are powder-coated steel: dust them with a dry cloth, wipe off mud with mild soapy water, and dry the metal so moisture does not sit at the joints. If the black coating ever chips, touch it up promptly to stop rust starting on the bare steel. Let wet shoes dry before shelving them, keep the rack on a flat, level floor, and re-tighten the frame bolts every few months so it stays rigid. It is designed for indoor use only.
