The Laurie Solar Floating Pool Lights are 10 cm (3.9 in) frosted ABS spheres that sit low in the water and cycle automatically through seven colours, so a handful scattered across a pool turns it into a slowly shifting light show with nothing for you to set or switch. There is no remote to lose and no app to pair - a single switch on the base is the whole interface, and the built-in 2V solar panel charges the Ni-MH cell through the day so the lights come on by themselves after dark. What makes them more useful than most floating lights is that they are not limited to water: the same sealed ball hangs happily from a gum branch on a cord, sits in a garden bed among planting, or lines a path, so a set bought for the pool keeps earning its keep around the rest of the yard. An IP65 rating covers dust, rain and pool water, and sets of two, four and eight let you scale the effect to the size of the pool.
Key Features
- Seven Auto-Cycling Colours: Built-in RGB LEDs shift through seven colours on their own, with no remote, app or setting to manage.
- Floats or Hangs: Sits low on the water, hangs from a branch on a cord, or nestles into a garden bed - one light, several jobs.
- Fully Solar Powered: A 2V panel charges the Ni-MH cell in 6 to 8 hours of daylight and the lights switch themselves on at dusk.
- IP65 Weatherproof: Dust-tight and sealed against water jets, so it handles pool water, ponds and Australian rain.
- Sets of 2, 4 or 8: Scale from a small plunge pool to a full backyard pool, or spread them through the garden.

Care Instructions
Keep the solar panel on top clean - a film of dust, pollen or dried pool splash across the panel is the single most common reason a solar float runs for an hour instead of all evening, so wipe it with a soft damp cloth every couple of weeks and dry it off. Rinse the ball in fresh water after it has been in a chlorinated or salt pool; left to dry on the ABS, pool chemicals will cloud the frosted diffuser and dull the light over a season. Clean with a soft cloth only, never an abrasive pad or a solvent cleaner, both of which will scratch and haze the diffuser permanently. The IP65 rating covers rain and splashing, so do not push these under the surface or leave them where a pump outlet holds them submerged. Switch them off at the base if they will sit unused, and before winter storage give them a full day of sun first, then keep them indoors and dry - a solar cell stored flat for months will not hold charge properly the next season.
