The Kelly Solar Floating Pool Lights are built for one job and do it without any intervention: drop them in, and a 2V polycrystalline panel charges the 600mAh cell through the day so each light comes on at dusk and runs 8 to 10 hours on a full charge - long enough to still be glowing when everyone goes inside. They cycle through seven colours automatically, with no remote to keep track of and no app to set up. The body is ABS with a silicone waterproof seal and measures 10.7 cm across by 7.5 cm high (4.2 x 3 in), sized to sit low and steady on the water rather than skitter across it in a breeze. These are genuine surface floats and nothing else - not designed to be submerged or hung - so they belong on a pool, a pond, a fountain or a dam, where their reflections double the effect across still water. There is no running cost and nothing to plug in.

Care Instructions
This light floats and is not submersible, so never push it under the surface, weigh it down or leave it where a pump outlet or skimmer holds it below the waterline - the IP65 seal is built for rain, splashing and floating, not for sitting underwater. Keep the solar panel on the top face clean, wiping it with a soft damp cloth every couple of weeks and drying it off; dust, pollen and dried pool splash on the panel are the usual reason a solar float stops making it through the evening. Rinse the body in fresh water after use in a chlorinated or salt pool so pool chemicals cannot chalk the ABS or cloud the diffuser. Clean with a soft cloth only - abrasive pads and solvents will permanently haze the lens. Check the silicone seal each season for grit, flattening or cracking, since a tired seal is what eventually lets water in. Before winter storage, give it a full day of sun, then keep it indoors and dry, and let it see daylight occasionally so the cell does not sit flat.
