The Jase Outdoor Pillar Light is a squat, square post-top lantern - 30 cm across and only 19 cm high - and that low, wide proportion is what makes it sit properly on a gate pier, a letterbox pillar or a fence post, where a tall fitting would look top-heavy. The textured glass panels do the real work: rather than letting the bulb glare straight out, the crackled texture breaks the light up so the whole lantern reads as a soft glowing block from across a driveway, with no hot spot to squint at. A solid flat cap on top keeps the light where it is useful, pushing it out sideways and down onto the ground rather than up into the sky. The black metal frame keeps the geometry crisp and the glass is sealed to IP65 against rain and moisture. It takes any E27 bulb, which matters here - fit a warm Edison filament and it reads traditional, fit a crisp LED and the same fitting reads modern. Hardwired for a clean finish, running on AC 90-260V, and certified to UL, RoHS, CE, VDE and SAA.

Care Instructions
Switch the power off at the wall and let the bulb cool before cleaning. The textured glass is the part that repays attention: because the surface is faceted rather than flat, dust and water spotting settle into the texture and dull the glow, so wipe the panels with a soft damp cloth and dry them properly rather than letting water evaporate on the glass. A soft toothbrush works well for getting grime out of the texture. Avoid abrasive pads and harsh solvents on both the glass and the black frame - the frame is coated, and once that coating is scratched or stripped the metal beneath will corrode. Because this fitting usually sits low on a pier or wall, it collects far more splash, dirt and lawn clippings than a high wall light, so check and clean it more often than you would a sconce at head height. Insects also gather inside a lantern of this shape, so open it once or twice a year and clear the base. In coastal areas rinse it with fresh water regularly, and check the seals and fixings each season.
