The Clancy Waterproof Bollard Light is a slim black garden post topped with a glowing column of acrylic. The body is die-cast aluminium, which resists rust and corrosion, and the high-transparency acrylic diffuser spreads the integrated 6W LED into an even, warm white 3000K glow of about 420 lumens. Five heights let you build a whole lighting plan from one design: 61cm (24in), 78.7cm (31in) and 99.1cm (39in) for paths, garden beds and steps, and 149.9cm (59in) and 200.7cm (79in) for gate entries, driveways and large gardens. The three shorter posts carry a 7.6cm (3in) diffuser on a 12.7cm (5in) base plate, while the two tall posts step up to a 10.2cm (4in) diffuser on a 25.4cm (10in) base plate for extra stability. It is rated IP55, protected against dust and water jets from any direction, and runs on 85-265V, which comfortably covers Australia's 230-240V mains supply. The light is hardwired and controlled from a wall switch, so have it installed by a licensed electrician. Its crisp architectural lines suit modern, coastal and hinterland homes, and it looks just as good lined up along a driveway as standing alone beside the front steps or a deck stair.

Care Instructions
Turn the power off at the wall switch before cleaning, and let the light cool. Wipe the die-cast aluminium post with a soft cloth and mild soapy water, then rinse and dry; avoid solvents, degreasers, alkaline cleaners and scourers, which dull and strip the black finish and leave the aluminium exposed to oxidation. In coastal areas, rinse the post with fresh water every few weeks to remove salt. The acrylic diffuser scratches easily and crazes with alcohol, ammonia glass sprays and acetone, so clean it only with a damp microfibre cloth and a drop of mild detergent. Do not use a pressure washer on the light, and adjust sprinklers so they do not spray it constantly. Check the base plate fixings once or twice a year, especially on the 149.9cm (59in) and 200.7cm (79in) posts, and tighten them if the post moves. Any electrical work must be done by a licensed electrician.
