The Capri Ribbed Glass Pendant Light is two pieces of glass working together. A smooth, clear outer globe, open at the base, surrounds a smaller fluted bell shade whose vertical ribs flare out into a softly ruffled hem, and a small LED sits inside it on a slim brass stem. Switched on, the ribs break the light into fine vertical lines that show through the outer glass, so the pendant glows with texture rather than glare; switched off, it still catches the daylight like a piece of blown glass. The inner shade comes in clear glass for a crisp, bright look, or amber for a warmer, honeyed glow that suits timber and stone. A brass-toned cap, stem and round ceiling canopy finish it off, hung on a black cord that adjusts up to 200cm (78.7in) at installation. Three globe sizes, 15cm, 20cm and 25cm (5.9, 7.9 and 9.8in) across, let you scale it to the space: the two smaller sizes look their best in a row of two or three over a kitchen island or breakfast bar, while the 25cm (9.8in) holds its own as a single pendant above a small dining table or in an entry. A G4 LED bulb is included, and the fitting is hardwired by a licensed electrician.
