The Caity Submersible LED Pool Lights fix to the pool wall rather than drifting on the surface, and that one difference is what makes them useful: a built-in suction cup presses onto any smooth tile or fibreglass surface, so the light stays exactly where you aimed it instead of wandering to the far end every time someone gets in. Each unit carries 13 LEDs behind a clear lens throwing a full 360 degree spread, with 16 colours and several dynamic modes selected from the RF remote - and because the signal is radio rather than infrared, it works from the deck without you having to line the remote up with the light. An IP68 rating means genuine continuous submersion down to 2 m (6.6 ft), not just splash resistance, so they can live in the pool through the season. Each light is compact at 7 x 3 cm (2.8 x 1.2 in) or 8.5 cm (3.3 in) and runs on three AAA batteries, so there is no lead in the water and nothing to hardwire.

Care Instructions
Lift the light off the wall by working a fingernail under the edge of the suction cup and letting the air in - pulling it straight off will stretch and eventually split the rubber. Rinse each light in clean fresh water after it comes out of the pool: chlorine and salt left to dry on the ABS housing will chalk the finish and, more importantly, will perish the suction cup so it stops gripping. Wipe the lens with a soft cloth only; abrasive pads will scratch the clear face and dull the output. Keep the battery compartment scrupulously dry - open it only with dry hands over a dry surface, check the O-ring seal is seated and free of grit before you close it, and replace the seal if it looks flattened or cracked, since a compromised seal is the one thing that will flood an IP68 light. Remove the AAA batteries whenever the lights are stored for more than a few weeks. Store them dry, out of direct sunlight, with the suction cups clean and unsquashed.
