Care Instructions
Wipe the die-cast iron shade and gooseneck arm with a soft cloth and mild soapy water, then dry immediately with a clean cloth so water does not sit in the rolled rim of the shade. Avoid solvents, scouring pads and metal polish, which will cut through the anti-corrosion coating and leave the iron open to rust. Check the underside of the shade for insects, cobwebs and leaf litter every few months, as debris collecting in a downward-facing shade will dim the output. In coastal or high-salt environments, rinse with fresh water two or three times a year, dry thoroughly, and inspect the wall plate and arm join for early corrosion. Being IP65-rated, it is built to withstand rain and outdoor moisture.
