The Beni Outdoor Wall Light is a slim rectangular box with a frosted diffuser panel set into a black frame, so what you see at night is an even glowing panel rather than a bare lamp or a hard beam - the kind of light that marks a doorway or a path without dazzling anyone walking toward it. It comes in three formats rather than three sizes, which is the useful part: Models A and B mount horizontally at 24.5 cm wide, while Model C is the same design turned vertical at 24.5 cm tall, so you can run a matching light across a low porch beam and beside a tall entry door without mixing designs. The body is anti-rust ABS rather than metal, and that is a deliberate choice for exposed positions - ABS cannot corrode at all, so there is no coating to blister and no rust bleed down a rendered wall, which is the usual failure of a cheap metal sconce near the coast. It is sealed to IP66, a step above the common IP65, meaning it handles powerful jets of water as well as heavy rain, frost and strong sun. The LED is integrated, in warm white or cool white, and wall fittings are included.

Care Instructions
Switch the power off at the wall and let the fitting cool before cleaning. ABS is easy to look after but has one weakness worth knowing: it is a plastic, so solvents attack it. Clean it with a soft cloth and warm water with a drop of mild dish soap, and never use methylated spirits, acetone, thinners, bleach or any solvent-based cleaner - these craze the surface, leaving a network of fine cracks that will not polish out. Skip scouring pads and abrasive powders too, which dull the matte finish. The upside is that ABS cannot rust, so unlike a metal sconce you never need to worry about corrosion, and in coastal areas a rinse with fresh water is enough to keep salt film off. The lens is where light output is lost, so wipe it every couple of months and clear away cobwebs and insects, which gather around any warm outdoor light. Prolonged harsh sun can gradually chalk black ABS, so a position with some shelter will keep the finish deeper for longer. Check the wall fixings and seals each season.
