The Shan Outdoor Wall Light is a long, low black wall light with a crisp architectural outline: a matte black powder-coated aluminium frame, cantilevered off a 20cm (7.9in) wall bracket, with a frosted acrylic diffuser underneath that spreads an even wash of LED light down the wall and across the ground. It comes in two lengths, 35cm (13.8in) with a 15W LED or 55cm (21.7in) with a 24W LED, and both project 15cm (5.9in) from the wall. Choose warm white for a relaxed glow at the front door or alfresco, or cool white for crisp, clear light over a garage, driveway or side passage. For security and convenience, each size and light colour is also available with a built-in PIR motion sensor that switches the light on when someone approaches, ideal for side gates and carports. The aluminium body is built for all-weather outdoor use and suits rendered, brick, timber-clad and board-formed concrete homes. It runs on 110-240V and is hardwired, so in Australia it needs a licensed electrician to install. Use one over a garage, or a matching pair either side of the front door.

Care Instructions
Switch off at the mains and let the light cool before cleaning. Wipe the powder-coated aluminium frame with a soft cloth and mild soapy water, then dry it; solvents, degreasers and abrasive pads will dull and scratch the matte black coating. The frosted acrylic diffuser marks easily, so clean it with a damp microfibre cloth only and never use alcohol, ammonia or glass sprays, which can cloud acrylic. On sensor models, wipe the PIR lens gently and keep plants trimmed away from it to prevent false triggers. Clear spider webs and insects from the top of the frame and the diffuser regularly. In coastal areas rinse off salt spray with fresh water every few weeks. Check the wall bracket and seals once a year, and leave any wiring work to a licensed electrician.
