The Sands Sculptural Wall Sconce has the feel of a piece of jewellery for the wall. A slim antique brass stem rises from a round brass wall plate, threaded with polished marble beads, and finishes in a brass cylinder holding an exposed globe that glows warmly against the wall. Each marble bead has its own veining, so every sconce is subtly one of a kind. Choose black, white, brown or green marble to set the mood - black and green for richer, moodier rooms, white for coastal and Mediterranean schemes, brown for warm earthy interiors. The single sconce stands 48cm tall and about 11.4cm wide (18.9 x 4.5in) and comes with either a 14cm or a 12cm canopy (5.5 or 4.7in). The double version stretches to 70cm (27.6in) with a globe at each end, casting light both up and down - ideal in hallways and either side of a bed. It takes standard E26/E27 globes up to 40W (an LED or Edison-style globe both suit the look), works from a standard wall switch and is hardwired on 110-240V.

Care Instructions
Always switch off at the wall and let the globe cool before cleaning. Dust the antique brass with a soft, dry cloth only; the aged finish is deliberate, so never use brass polish, vinegar or abrasive cleaners, which will strip the patina and leave bright patches. Marble is porous and etches on contact with acids, so keep vinegar, lemon, bathroom sprays and alcohol well away from the beads - wipe them with a soft, barely damp cloth and dry immediately, or simply buff with a dry cloth. Don't use oil or wax on the stone. When changing the globe, hold the brass cylinder steady with one hand and twist the globe gently with the other so you don't put strain on the beaded stem. This sconce is for indoor, dry areas only - not for bathrooms or anywhere it could be splashed.
