The Nula Alabaster Wall Sconce is a long, softly rounded oval of snowflake alabaster wrapped at its centre by a band of black stainless steel. The LED is built in, so the stone itself becomes the light - glowing with the cloudy white flecks and fine veins that give snowflake alabaster its name, while the dark band adds a crisp graphic contrast. It measures 19cm wide and 58cm tall (7.5 x 22.8in), a generous scale that gives real presence on a stairwell landing, a long hallway or either side of a bed or artwork. Because the light passes through stone rather than glass, it is soft and atmospheric rather than bright, making it a lovely evening light in living rooms and bedrooms. Care Instructions
Switch off at the wall before cleaning. Alabaster is soft and porous, so dust the stone only with a dry, lint-free cloth or a soft brush; never use water, glass cleaner, oils or anything acidic like vinegar or citrus, which can stain, etch or cloud it for good. Handle it with clean, dry hands, since skin oils darken the stone over time. Wipe the black stainless steel band with a soft, dry microfibre cloth - avoid bleach, chlorine and abrasive cleaners, which can pit stainless steel and dull the black finish, and keep any moisture from running onto the alabaster. The LED is integrated and does not need replacing. Take care not to knock the stone, as alabaster can chip. Install indoors in a dry area only, away from bathrooms, steam and splashes.
