Care Instructions
Wipe the black ABS frame and frosted polycarbonate shade with a soft cloth and mild soapy water, then rinse with fresh water and let them air dry. Avoid methylated spirits, acetone, ammonia-based glass cleaners and abrasive pads, which craze polycarbonate and leave the shade cloudy and scratched. Keep the solar panel on top clean of dust, pollen, leaf litter and bird droppings, as a dirty panel is the most common reason a solar light fades early in the evening. Check that growing shrubs have not shaded the panel as the seasons change, and move the light into full sun if needed. Do not pressure wash the light or pile mulch up around the head, which traps moisture against the seals. Pull the stake out before mowing or edging, and push it back in by the stake rather than the head to avoid stressing the joint. If you store the light away, charge it fully first and keep it somewhere dry indoors.
