The Jawa Alabaster Bead Pendant Light is not a conventional pendant. It is a continuous string of small alabaster beads, threaded one against the next on a fine cable and hung so it drapes between two or more ceiling points in a loose natural curve, the way a necklace falls. Each bead is real alabaster marble with its own cloudy veining, and each is lit from inside, so the string reads as a soft line of amber light with every stone's grain showing through. The effect depends entirely on having room to hang - it is made for stairwell voids, double-height living spaces and long dining tables under a high ceiling, where the sweep of the curve can be seen from below and across. Sizes run from 16 lights up to 123, which is how the string's length is set: a short 16-light run makes a single modest swag over a table, while the largest configurations can be looped into two or three layered swags that cross a whole volume. Drops range from 55cm to 300cm (21.6 to 118in) and widths from 35cm to 280cm (13.8 to 110.2in). The integrated LEDs are included and dim by remote, so the same fitting can be a sculptural line of light at full output or a low warm glow after dinner. Hardware is gold as standard.
Key Features
- A garland, not a fixture: The string hangs in a natural draped curve between its anchor points, so it behaves like an architectural gesture across a room rather than an object dropped over a table.
- Every bead is real alabaster: Natural stone, individually veined, lit from within - the grain and cloudiness show through the glow and no two beads are the same.
- Ten lengths from 16 to 123 lights: The bead count sets the length, from a single modest swag over a dining table up to a run long enough to loop into two or three layered swags across a void.
- Built for height: Drops from 55cm to 300cm (21.6 to 118in) mean it can hang tight under a normal ceiling or fall the full height of a stairwell.
- Integrated LED, dimmable by remote: The LEDs are built in and included, and brightness and colour temperature adjust from a handset without leaving your seat.
- Warm, neutral or white light: The same string moves from a golden after-dinner glow to a cooler, crisper light for a working space.
- Hangs where a chandelier cannot: Over a long table, down a stairwell, across an open living volume or along a hallway - anywhere a single central fitting would look lost.

Care Instructions
Switch the light off at the wall and let it cool before handling it. Alabaster is a soft, porous stone - dust the beads with a dry microfibre cloth or a soft brush, working along the string rather than tugging at it, and support the run with your other hand so the weight is never taken on one bead. Never use water, damp cloths, glass cleaner, alcohol, vinegar or any acidic or all-purpose spray: alabaster etches and dulls on contact with acid and will absorb moisture and staining through its surface, and the marks cannot be polished out. If a bead is marked, a barely damp cloth followed immediately by a dry one is as far as you should go. Do not hang it in a bathroom, above a stovetop or anywhere it will meet steam or cooking grease, both of which soak into the stone. Expect the veining, cloudiness and exact tone to differ from bead to bead - that is the natural stone and not a defect. The LEDs are integrated and included, so there are no globes to change; if a section fails the run is replaced rather than re-lamped. Because the weight is carried at only two or three ceiling points and the fitting can be very long, installation must be done by a licensed electrician with fixings into solid structure, and the swag geometry should be set out on the ceiling before anything is drilled.
