The Bally Vintage Outdoor Wall Light is a classic gooseneck barn light: a curved aluminium arm sweeps out from a shaped back plate and holds a wide, flared horn shade over an opal acrylic globe. The shade directs the light down while the globe softens it, giving a warm, glare-free glow over a door, a barn or a courtyard bench. Choose black for a crisp farmhouse or coastal look, or a rubbed antique bronze for a sandstone cottage, Federation home or veggie garden shed. It stands 48cm (18.9in) tall, projects 43cm (16.9in) from the wall, and the back plate is 19cm (7.5in) high; it weighs about 4.0kg (8.8lb). It takes a standard, replaceable E27 LED bulb of 6-10W, so you can change the brightness or colour later, and it is designed for warm white 3000K light with a CRI of 80 and up to 50,000 hours lamp life. An IP65 rating means it is protected against dust and rain. It is hardwired, so in Australia it should be installed by a licensed electrician. Care Instructions
Switch off at the mains and let the light cool before cleaning. Wipe the aluminium arm, back plate and horn shade with a soft cloth and mild soapy water, then dry; never use solvents, metal polish or scourers, which strip the black coating and rub through the antique bronze patina. The opal acrylic globe scratches and clouds easily, so clean it with a damp microfibre cloth only and avoid alcohol, ammonia or glass sprays. Clear spider webs and insects from inside the shade and globe regularly. In coastal or rural areas, rinse off salt spray and dust with fresh water every few weeks. Support the globe when changing the E27 bulb and do not exceed the rated 10W LED. Check the arm and wall fixings once a year, and leave any wiring work to a licensed electrician.
