The Aura Smoked Glass Wall Sconce threads a rounded, hand-blown glass globe onto a slim vertical rod of brushed brass, held off the wall by a short arm and a small round backplate. Inside the glass sits a brass collar that frames the bulb, so even switched off the fitting reads as a piece of jewellery on the wall. Switched on, the tinted glass softens the light into a warm, low glow that falls downward without glare, which makes it lovely beside a bed, flanking a vanity mirror or in pairs along a hallway. Choose warm amber glass for a honeyed, retro-leaning glow, or smoke grey for a moodier, more architectural look. The sconce measures 55cm (H) x 26cm (W) with a 30cm projection (21.7" x 10.2" x 11.8"), a generous statement size that still sits comfortably above a bedside table. It is built from iron with a brushed brass finish and blown glass, hardwires to a standard wall point and runs on AC 90-260V, lighting roughly 5-10m². Warm white LED bulb included. Care Instructions
Switch the sconce off at the wall and let the globe cool completely before cleaning or changing the bulb. Dust the glass globe with a soft microfibre cloth; for fingerprints, wipe with a cloth barely dampened with warm water and dry straight away. Avoid ammonia-based glass sprays and abrasive pads, which can cloud tinted glass and strip the brass finish. The brushed brass frame only needs a dry, soft cloth; never use metal polish, as it will lift the brushed texture and leave shiny patches. Support the globe with one hand when changing the bulb so it does not slip on the rod. Suitable for dry indoor areas only, not for use inside showers or wet zones.
