The Anita Outdoor Pendant Light is a traditional hanging lantern with real heritage detail. The body is aluminium with a matte painted finish, shaped into a domed cap with scrolled leaf brackets, a tapered cage and a turned finial at the base, and the panels are rippled glass that breaks the warm 3000K light into a gentle shimmer. It drops from a 10.9cm (4.3in) round ceiling canopy on a 60cm (23.6in) adjustable chain, so it sits at eye level in an entry or low over a table rather than hard against the ceiling. Choose matte black for crisp contrast against white weatherboards, or bronze for a warmer, aged look against sandstone and brick. There are three sizes: Small at 16cm (6.3in) wide and 36cm (14.2in) high, Medium at 20cm (7.9in) by 46cm (18.1in), and Large at 28cm (11.0in) by 50cm (19.7in), each sold singly or in sets of 2, 4 or 6. An E27 bulb is included, it is hardwired by a licensed electrician and it lights roughly 5-10m². Anita is made for covered outdoor areas only: hang it under a solid roof on a front porch, verandah, loggia or alfresco, away from direct rain and water. It suits Federation, Queenslander, farmhouse and Mediterranean-style Australian homes.

Care Instructions
Switch the power off at the wall and let the bulb cool before cleaning. The aluminium body has a matte painted finish: wipe it with a soft cloth and warm water with a drop of mild dish soap, then dry it, and never use solvents, methylated spirits, abrasive pads or oven and bathroom cleaners, which strip the paint and leave the aluminium to oxidise white. Clean the rippled glass panels with a soft damp cloth, working into the texture, and dry them so water does not spot; avoid ammonia glass sprays near the painted frame. Insects and dust collect inside a hanging lantern, so clear the inside and the base once or twice a year. In coastal areas wipe the lantern over with fresh water every few weeks to keep salt off the finish. Anita is rated for covered outdoor areas only, so keep it under a solid roof and away from rain, sprinklers and the garden hose. Each season, check the chain links, canopy and fixings are secure and do not let the chain twist, which strains the cable inside.
