The Allen LED Bollard Light brings a soft, moon-like glow to garden paths, driveways and entries. A frosted opal globe 15cm (5.9in) across sits on a slim black post, so the light spreads evenly in every direction without glare in your eyes. The post is stainless steel and the globe is tough polycarbonate (PC), and the whole light is rated IP65 against dust and rain, so it stands up to summer storms, coastal air and the garden sprinkler. Choose from two heights: the low 25.4cm (10in) version for edging garden beds, steps and pool surrounds, or the taller 80cm (31.5in) post for driveways and longer paths where the light needs to carry further. Each height comes with either a round base plate for fixing to concrete, pavers or decking, or a ground spike that pushes straight into lawn and garden beds. The integrated LED gives a warm white 3000K glow that makes a home look welcoming at dusk and flatters plants, timber and stone. It is hardwired, runs on 110-240V and is controlled from a wall switch, so have it installed by a licensed electrician, as Australian wiring rules require. Its clean, minimal shape suits modern, coastal and Scandinavian-style homes, and a row of them along a front path gives a calm, resort-like feel.

Care Instructions
Turn the power off at the wall switch before cleaning, and let the light cool. Wipe the stainless steel post with a soft cloth and mild soapy water, rinse with fresh water and dry it; near the coast, rinse it every few weeks so salt spray does not leave brown tea staining. Never use bleach, chlorine pool chemicals, steel wool or abrasive pads on the stainless steel, as they pit and scratch the surface. Clean the polycarbonate globe with mild soapy water and a microfibre cloth only: solvents, ammonia glass sprays, methylated spirits and scourers will craze and cloud the PC. Do not aim a pressure washer or hard hose jet at the seals, and keep mulch, soil and plants clear of the globe and base so water cannot pool around them. After heavy rain, check that ground-spike versions are still firm and upright. Any electrical repair or relocation must be carried out by a licensed electrician.
