The Abbot Marble Wall Lamp layers two organic, softly irregular discs of genuine natural marble, one set slightly off-centre in front of the other, with a white opal globe glowing warm at the heart of the composition. The edges are rounded and hand-finished rather than perfectly circular, which gives the lamp a relaxed, pebble-like character. The pale cream stone shows its own natural veining and texture, so every lamp is unique. The globe throws a soft, glare-free light that grazes across the stone and onto the wall, turning the fitting into a quiet piece of wall sculpture. It measures 28cm (11.0in) across and projects 15cm (5.9in) from the wall, a size that sits well either side of a bed or mirror, above a console in an entry or repeated along a hallway or stair. It uses an LED light source in 3000K warm white, is hardwired, and runs on AC 90-260V. Care Instructions
Switch the lamp off at the wall and let it cool before cleaning. Marble is porous and etches with acids: dust the stone discs with a soft, dry microfibre cloth or brush and never use vinegar, lemon, bleach or bathroom sprays. If needed, wipe with a cloth barely dampened with plain water and dry immediately to avoid water marks. Clean the opal globe with a soft, dry cloth. The stone is heavy, so make sure the lamp is fixed securely into the wall, and take care not to knock the edges, which can chip. Suitable for dry indoor areas only, not for use inside showers or wet zones.
